A Matlab Toolbox for AHP and LGRA-AHP to Analyze and Evaluate Factors in Making the Decision

並列摘要

Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) is a multiple criteria decision-making method that has been used in almost all the applications related with decision-making. And the Local Grey Relational Analysis (LGRA) has known to be calculating the discrete data and quantify the factors. Thus the combination between LGRA and AHP makes the factors evaluation more efficient, and minimizing the limitations of the expert methods. Therefore the design of a toolbox for these two methods is necessary for factors evaluation. The researchers used Matlab software to design a Matlab toolbox for AHP and LGRA-AHP. This toolbox not only helps to process data quickly and accurately, but also displays the results on a graphical user interface. Notable feature of this toolbox is to allow the user selecting one of two methods of analysis: AHP or LGRA-AHP, it can export the results and graphs to excel file and jpeg image formatted. In this paper, the researchers used the AHP method to make a decision to choose the best school, and used LGRA-AHP to select the best way of teaching as typical examples. In practice, this toolbox cannot only be applied to specific decision-making in education, but also be used in many fields such as politics, business, and medicine.
