The purpose of this research is to find the market positioning and the design development priorities of the western metal flatware appeared in the market by using the kansei factors and modeling analysis to find the indicators of the product beauty and to do the comparison estimation according to the analysis results from sampling data. The selections of the sampling flatware are based on experts' suggestions. The method of the kansei design analysis is applied to the flatware using kansei factors which were also extracted by experts. Then, the 5W1H approach and Interpretive Structure Model (ISM) analysis were applied to find the routes of metal flatware design indicators related to the design database of esthetic sensibilities. Based on the above research result, it can be applied as the frame of reference to find the market share of the products. Then, it can help to formulate the strategy of developing new related products for market positioning.
