This study aims to explore the relationships of participants' gender and leisure type with their leisure motivation and leisure involvement. Sample: 312 leisure participants; Analysis: multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). The effects of leisure participants' gender and leisure type on their leisure involvement were significant. However, these effects were not significant on their leisure motivation. Furthermore, the interaction effects of participants' gender and leisure type on their leisure motivation and leisure involvement were not significant. This study highlights the importance of participants' leisure involvement for their leisure behavior. Also, it has been suggested that researchers should give attention to the study of demographic effects, as well as the role that they play in the leisure participants' psychological process.
