整合性課程在通識教育中的建構與效能-以「民間文學」課程為例

The Construction and Effect of Integrated Courses in General Education-An Example of Folk Literature Course

摘要


通識教育的本質並不在給予學生專業的知識或技能,它更重要的意義:是在於能使學生能將各種知識和具體經驗融匯的教育,是在使學生能在社會脈絡中尋求資源展現自我、服務社會的教育;換言之,通識教育應更注重在基本途徑的開闢、獲得知識方法的培養、批判及反省能力的養成以及自動求知精神的樹立。以使學生能成為一個和諧的人-具備人文素養及理性思維,能靈活地將所學回應生活所需,並豐富生活的內涵。本文的論述,主要便是從通識教育的意涵、通識教育與專業教育的連結與互補為切入點,來探討通識教育之課程設計的原則及方向,從而指出以整合性為原則的課程建構,並以實際的課程實施說明建構原則的可行性,進而呈現出整合性課程在通識教育中的貢獻與效能。

The nature of general education is to enable students to incorporate diverse knowledge with specific experience, not to provide students professional knowledge or skills. It is the education which enables students to perform themselves and serve in society. On the other hand, general education should focus on the cultivation in the method of obtaining knowledge, the ability of criticism and introspection, and initiative. Therefore, students will be harmonious in human dignity and rational thought to enrich their lives. This study investigated the direction and rules for general education curriculum according to the meaning of general education, the connection between general and professional education. Furthermore, the study provided the curriculum construction based on the integrative rules. It also explained the feasibility, contribution and effectiveness of the integrated courses in general education.
