On July 7, 2017 Department of Public health, Taoyuan was notified of a suspected food poisoning outbreak among employees of a technology company. 106 employees had consumed lunch provided by a specific catering company on July 6, and 30 of them developed symptoms such as diarrhea one after another. According to the investigation result, the single peak of epidemic curve implied this incidence as a food-borne disease outbreak. Examination of environmental, human, and water samples all gave negative results. The etiology agent was unknown because of the lack of evidence. The results of logistic regression analysis indicated that cold noodles were statistically related to this outbreaks (OR=16.31; 95% CI:1.14-233.21), and was the probable vehicles. After the implementation of the epidemic prevention, no additional new cases occur.
