The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship of leadership abilities and performance. Four hundred and twelve valid samples were collected from the cadres in southern university Student clubs. The results showed: 1. Leadership abilities and performance of clubs cadres were the upper-intermediate level, and there was a significant difference for the various sub-level of leadership abilities and performance. 2. There was positive correlation between leadership abilities and performance of clubs cadres. 3. There was upper and positive impact of 1. leadership abilities on performance of clubs cadres. Finally, some suggestions for future study were given based on the results of the present study.
