This paper aims to discuss Reverse Penhold Backhand (RPB). For Asian penhold-grip table tennis players who like to use fast attacks, backhand has been a problem for years. Limited by the anatomy, backhand is very different from forehand in power, speed, and spin; therefore, the control and improvement of backhand have been a key point of the study of table tennis. In China, some significant revolutions in table tennis skills are all concerned with attacking and defensive skills of backhand. The loopholes and defects of penhold backhand have become more noticeable than ever, which brings a new term in table tennis skills:RPB. RPB has solved many backhand problems, and it is the development trend of the circle of table tennis.
