摘要

冠、婚、喪、祭是中國傳統四大生命禮儀，我國有史以來深受儒家思想薰陶而保有傳統禮俗，在臺灣社會相當重視有強化生命價值與神聖的「通過儀禮」，現代喪禮中瞻仰遺容的儀式也被人接受，甚至是列為重要流程之一，因此「死亡尊嚴」與「遺體關懷」逐漸為社會大眾重視，大體美容的需求普遍，相對的更強調與重視遺體美容技能與專業。人們規劃殯葬儀式的整個過程中會討論是否合乎禮制與習俗，深怕過程中不完美造成日後的遺憾與不安，喪葬禮俗考量尊重生命的禮制與習俗是可以相互吸收與相互結合，形成一體化的禮俗形態讓生命最後一哩路更圓滿符合眾人的期待。

Adult ceremony, marriage, funeral, and sacrifice are the four traditional life rituals in Chinese Culture. In the history, Chinese culture has been deeply influenced by the Confucianism and preserved traditional etiquette. In Taiwan society, it is also greatly attach to the important issue of ＂passing ceremony＂ concept. This concept relates to the strength of the value of life and the sacredness. During a modern funeral ceremony procedure, paying respect to the remains becoming a key process. Therefore, ＂Dignity of Death＂ and ＂Caring for the Body＂ are both gradually valued by the public. Make up on dead body process is now demanding from the public. It required professional knowledge and technique for a makeup artist. During the process of planning funeral rites, people are taking into the consideration of rituals and customs. People make it very serious in planning funeral ceremony, this also relate to avoid any regrets and unpeaceful in the future for the family members. A better funeral service planning needs to take into consideration upon integration the component of respect the life and their individual custom, by doing this it is able to fulfil everyone's expectation.
