符號明識度對幼兒園發展遲緩幼兒及其同儕圖形溝通符號學習影響之研究

摘要

基於Lloyd和Fuller（1990）的符號圖像表徵假設，以及AAC使用者在運用符號溝通的過程中，訊息傳遞者和訊息接受者之間，對符號覺知一致與否的重要性。本研究旨在探討符號明識度對幼兒園發展遲緩幼兒及其同儕，在圖形溝通符號覺知與學習成效的影響。研究以20位就讀幼兒園之發展遲緩幼兒和40位非特殊幼兒同儕為對象，並分別以10張高明識度和10張低明識度的彩色圖形溝通符號為研究材料。研究結果發現：（1）幼兒園同儕對圖形溝通符號的辨識得分顯著高於發展遲緩幼兒，且高明識度的圖形符號較低明識度符號容易被辨識。（2）在第一次教學後，兩組受試均能成功習得高明識度符號，但在低明識度圖形符號的學習成效上，幼兒園同儕的學習成效顯著優於發展遲緩幼兒。（3）在第二次教學後，兩組受試的學習成效差異大致與第一次教學後相同，惟發展遲緩幼兒在高明識符號的學習成效仍優於低明識度符號，且幼兒園同儕在不同明識度符號的學習成效已沒有差異。研究者同時對未來之教學和研究提出數點建議。

The iconicity of graphic symbols and the iconicity hypothesis are theoretical concepts that have had an impact for decades. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of translucency on symbol learning for children with and without developmental delay. Ten symbols with high translucency and ten with low translucency were used as experimental material. Twenty children with developmental delay and forty typical peers participated in the study. The results indicated thataveraging across all other factors, the peers' symbols recognition score significantly higher than children with developmental delay, and the symbols with high translucency were identify easier than the low translucency symbols. Furthermore, after the first phase of teaching experiment, both groups obtained the high translucency symbols. In addition, the section of learning outcomes of the low translucency symbols were discussed in terms of the typical peers' performance significantly better than children with developmental delay. However, the results after the second phase of teaching experiment were almost the same as the first phase. Nevertheless, children with developmental delay in the high translucency symbols of learning outcomes were still better than the low translucency symbols. At the same time, the typical peers had no difference in the performance of different translucency symbols of learning outcomes. The authors also provided some suggestions for further study based the results of this study.
