香港方物中的香港意識：試論香港早期自然導向文學《香港方物志》

摘要

本論文研究分析，香港「南來作家」葉靈鳳於香港定居十五年後才正式書寫的《香港方物志》。一般而言，評論者認為香港文學中的「香港意識」要到七○年代才浮現。不過，一九三八年至香港定居的葉靈鳳，經過十五年的時間，有沒有可能在《香港方物志》中藉由對香港自然環境的深入了解，而透露出「香港意識」的端倪？若是有，《香港方物志》一書有沒有可能納入香港鄉土文學的範疇？本文以「自然導向文學」（nature-oriented literature）為框架探討上述的問題。

The thesis is a study of ＂Hong Kong Naturography＂ (香港方物志), which was written by Ye Ling-feng (葉靈鳳), a Chinese immigrant writer. After having settled down in Hong Kong for fifteen years, Ye started writing this book. Generally, critics are of the opinion that it was not until the 1970s that Hong Kong native consciousness appeared in the Hong Kong literature. However, was it possible for Ye Ling-feng, who had migrated to HK in 1938, to give the inkling of HK consciousness in ＂Hong Kong Naturography＂ through his deep understanding of HK natural environment? If the supposition is positive, could ＂Hong Kong Naturography＂ be categorized into the Hong Kong native literature? The thesis discusses the above questions based on the framework of natureoriented literature.
