Design of Seniors Physical Fitness Distance Measurement System Based on Kinect

This study is based on Kinect somatosensory equipment, according to the specifications of the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education, to design two seniors physical fitness testing systems: chair sit-and-reach test distance measurement and back scratch test distance measurement. The chair sit-and-reach test distance measurement is mainly based on the user's data. According to the testing process and precautions of the National Fitness Test, the design is in five stages: preparation, hook tip, hand extension, detection and evaluation. The back scratch test distance measurement is designed in four stages: preparation, habitual hand backwards, another hand backwards, detection and evaluation. After the real test, the average error of the chair sit-and-reach test distance measurement is about 0.55 cm; and the average error of the back scratch test distance measurement is about -1.03 cm.
