Correlating the effects of motivaltions and telepresence in online electronic shooting games

The goal of this study was to investigate the potency of using computer or cell phone leading to the sense of being fully immersed in virtual game worlds and the effects of telepresence on electronic shooting games. This experimental research has 318 valid questionnaires were collected by convenience sampling method from online game players explore the effects of telepresence on electronic shooting games. Results found that the visual display quality and the operation of the control device of the interface quality, there are still rooms for improvement of performing game tasks. Furthermore, "sensory fidelity'', "adaptation'' and "interface quality'' of telepresence, and "transformation of time'' of immersion have significant influences on the willingness to continue playing video games, In addition, Game motivations indirectly influence the continuance intention through the telepresence of online game. Ultimately, we also make recommendations for gaming experiences by means of virtual reality, research limitations and future research.
