National army officers are subject to the maximum number of years of active service or age restrictions, so that those who do not occupy upper-level positions will face the fate of forced discharge. However, when an individual is unable to advance in the class, there are often several years until he is discharged from the army, so it is easy to feel that class promotion is stagnant. The purpose of this study is to take officers who have exceeded the minimum time in grade as the research object, to verify whether the current class tenure has a significant effect on hierarchical plateauing, and to explore whether job satisfaction produces a mediation between hierarchical plateauing and life satisfaction. The study was conducted by intentional sampling, and 222 valid questionnaires were obtained. The results show that the longer the officer's current tenure, the more obvious the hierarchical plateauing. In addition, "job satisfaction" plays a significant full mediation between "hierarchical plateauing" and "life satisfaction". At the end of this paper, discussions and suggestions are made on the research results.
