園藝治療對兒童內外控人格特質影響之研究

Effects of Horticultural Therapy on Children's Locus of Control

摘要


本研究旨在探討園藝治療對國小學童內外控人格特質之影響。研究對象為屏東某國小學童,研究方法採準實驗量化分析。研究設計是將五到六年級共35名學童分為實驗組及控制組,實驗組成員參與每週一次,每次2小時,共10次之「綠手指園藝成長營」。測量工具為「兒童多維控制感知量表」(MMCPC),前後測資料以描述性統計、變異數和共變數進行分析。研究發現實驗組、控制組受試者內控人格特質之「內在控制」因實驗介入而產生顯著差異,屬外控人格特質之「未知控制」及「有權他人控制」則未有顯著差異。研究結論從學童參與園藝治療有助於內控人格特質的培養之視角,提供實務工作者參考。研究者並對後續研究提供相關建議。

This study aimed to explore the effects of horticultural therapy on locus of control for elementary school students. The subjects were 35 5rd-6th grade school students in Pingtung County who were divided into an experimental group and a control group. The experimental group members took part in "The Green Fingers Gardening Camp" which was held once a week, each 2 hours, and a total of ten times. The Multidimensional Measure of Children's Perceptions of Control scale (MMCPC) for school children was used as the measuring tool, and the descriptive statistic ANCOVA were applied to analyze data. The results showed that there was significant differences of internal control between the experimental and control subjects due to the horticultural therapy. However, there was significant difference of external control (including unknown control and authority of others control) between the experimental and control subjects. This study shows the results that children who participate in horticultural therapy were advanced in internal control personality traits. The results of this study can provide as a reference for practical workers. The implications for the study are also proposed and suggested for further research.
