Study on Key Factors of Preventing Internet Addiction among Primary School Children

預防國小網路成癮關鍵因素之研究

摘要


This study investigated the critical factors for the prevention of elementary school children's Internet addiction disorder from elementary school teachers' perspective. Firstly, this study collected and investigated relevant studies to summarize relevant dimensions and assessment factors. Secondly, this study used Delphi Method to perform expert questionnaire interviews to summarize experts' opinions and develop the hierarchical structure. This study also performed a sample survey, and used Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to analyze relevant weight and overall weight of critical factors for the prevention of elementary school children's Internet addiction disorder from teachers' perspective. The research analysis results showed that, in terms of overall weight, critical factors can be divided into important critical factors and less important critical factors according to the level of importance perceived by teachers. Important critical factors include four assessment factors in the family function dimension: family's Internet literacy, parents leading by example, good parent-child communication, and parents' efforts to spend time with their children; two assessment factors in the school teacher dimension: improving parent education programs and attending training workshops to gain or improve skills; one assessment factor in the student counseling dimension: school children's Internet literacy. The analysis results showed that, elementary school teachers suggested the family function dimension is most important for the prevention of elementary school children's Internet addiction disorder, followed by the school teacher dimension and student counseling dimension. The research results can be provided as reference for school teachers, parents, relevant government authorities, and future studies.
