摘要


近年來政府大力推展海洋教育,期望在各級學校中提供師生的海洋普通教育,提升國民對海洋的認知並進一步樂意親海,但因優質海洋教育教材的缺乏、相關教學研究不足,竟有意無意地忽略了海洋文學。海洋文學一詞廣義及狹義的界定,可提供編寫海洋教育教材的學者重要的方向。故本文從海洋文學、海洋文化、兒童文學、海洋繪本等詞的界定談起,再以英文繪本”The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau”為例,探究其作者、繪者、文本內容的文學性,及其應用在海洋教育上的可行性。最後,提出給研究者、教學者和海洋繪本創作者的建議。

Recently the government has been impelling general marine education to enhance citizens' ocean awareness and become willing to approach the sea. Yet, quality materials are not enough, therefore, influenced by these two factors, Marine literature is surprisingly overlooked. Definition of Marine literature in a broad or a narrow sense will contribute to the important approach of marine educational materials for marine educators. Hence, this paper first presents the definitions of marine literature, marine culture, children's literature, marine picture books, etc., investigates the picture book ”The Fantastic Undersea Life of Jacques Cousteau”, and reveals the feasibility of applying this book for marine education. Last, recommendations are provided for researchers, instructors and authors who are interested in creating marine picture books.
