Cheerleading is a sport of teamwork. Its athletic performance depends not only on the specific skills but also on the charm and charisma of the whole team. The leadership of coaches can greatly affect the performance of the cheerleading team. By understanding the coaches' leadership behaviors, the article discusses charismatic leadership through the four aspects: modeling of confidence and morality, performance management and vision, empathy and humor, and experience of successful leadership. This study suggests that cheerleading coaches with charismatic leadership can enhance the team performance and good athletic performance.
