This research explores the influence of a narcissistic personality in different recognizable condtions on the sports performance of military school students. Twenty-eight (n=28) soldiers were involved in this study from Army Academy as the experimental participants. Participants completed the narcissistic personality scale, and 3000 meters running test. The data for statistical analysis includeding descriptive statistics, independt sample t-test, paired t-test, and two-factor mixed design ANOVA. The results show that: A. Narcissistic personality has no main effect on sports performance; having a high or low narcissistic personality does not affect subjects' sports performance; B. There was a statistically significant differences between sports performance in high and low recognizable conditions; subjects' sports performance in high recognizable conditions was better than that in recognizable condition; C. There was no interaction effect between narcissistic personality and sports performance in different recognizable condition. The results of this study could be taken as a reference for sport team coaches and army leaders in designing curriculum in the future. Also, the results propose for the further research on social loafing and other variables in sports context.
