生花妙筆游於譯－謹談林文月先生日本文學翻譯的特色與貢獻

摘要

林文月教授是華人世界裡漢譯日本古典文學作品極為重要的譯者，從1974年起到1978年在臺灣大學外文系《中外文學》發表了《源氏物語》的翻譯，之後完成《枕草子》《伊勢物語》等平安文學的知名作品。日本女流文學除了林先生的譯文，在中國大陸《源氏物語》有錢稻孫的選譯，目前僅存桐壺一卷；全譯本有豐子愷的譯文，《枕草子》則有周作人的翻譯。譯者不同，對原著精神與文字表現的掌握和所使用翻譯策略的不同，呈現的譯文風格自然各有千秋。本文擬從日本古典漢譯史的觀點，重新省視林文月先生畢生的翻譯成就，並透過譯文比較的方式，析論林譯的風格與特色，探討林譯的意義與貢獻。

Professor Lin Wenyue is an extremely important translator of Chinese classical works of Japanese in the Chinese world. There is no doubt that Professor Lin Wenyue translated the ＂Tale of Genji＂ in ＂Chinese and Foreign Literature＂ of Taiwan University in 1978 from 1974 to 1978, ＂Pillow＂ ＂Ise Story＂ and other well-known works of peace literature. Japanese female literature in addition to Professor Lin's translation, in mainland China, ＂Tale of Genji＂ election translation, currently only save Chian Diaosun's translation ＂The paulownia tree(Kiritsubo)＂; roll translation of the translation of Feng Zikai, ＂The Pillow Book(Makura no Soshi)＂ there is Zhou Zuoren translation . Different translators, different from the mastery of the original spirit and the performance of the text and the translation strategies used, the translated versions of the texts have their own advantages and disadvantages. This paper attempts to re-examine the life achievements of Lin Wenyue from the point of view of the history of classical Chinese translation in Japan. Through the comparison of translations, I will analyze the style and characteristics of Lin's translation to confirm the contribution and achievement of Lin's translation.
