”The Annals of Lu Buwei” was a compilation of his quests' works. Its goal is to provide, in accordance with Qin unification a governing guiding principle. Ban Gu from the Han Dynasty thought that its content is ”Confucianist and Mohist, convergence expert and Legalist thoughts”, thus it gathers various schools of thought theory characteristics. Previous studies regarding ”The Annals of Lu Buwei” are conflicted. Lu's pursuit, in essence, is to unify the many schools of thought and philosophy under the premise of unification. This article explores the three themes of ”care for the people”, ”Fairness and Selflessness”, and ”retaining loyal troops” as an inspiration and source of Mohist thought.
