Dental implants are widely used for modern restorative dentistry. The position and angle of implant placement play a key role to get both functional and esthetic outcomes. The digital technology could help dentist in diagnosis, surgery and prosthesis procedures, and make the outcomes more accurate and predictable. Modern digital technology in dental implantology include the use of cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in diagnostic phase, guided surgery with stereolithographic guide systems in surgical phase, and the computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) restorations in prosthetic phase. This case report showed the complete description of a clinical case from the preparation steps, surgical operations, to the final restorative procedures about three-dimensional computer-aided guided implant surgery. This procedure may provide the protocol in the use of 3D computer-aided implant guided surgery.
