A trichloroethylene (TCE) groundwater contaminated site located in Daliao District, Kaohsiung, was identified in 1992 and was closed in October 2017. The site has a long remediation history that involves site management processes, including a preliminary site investigation, emergence response, source identification, supplementary site investigations, remedy selection, a feasibility study, the construction of a pilot test, and operation and management. The life cycle of the site can be the development process of in-situ chlorinated solvent remediation knowledge. In this study, we reviewed the remediation history of the site and suggested important factors of the chlorinated solvents remediation processes.
