摘要

The advent of a new century, along with a high degree of automation, technology, and network, will inevitably change patterns of human life and make a great impact on national fitness. Lack of exercise is one of the important factors that cause elementary school children to become either underweight or overweight and also reduce their growth year by year. The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of The effects of 12 weeks fitness game intervention in second grade students of elementary school.. In this study, 31 second grade students from Kaoshiung County Chipu Elementary School were recruited as subjects. As both the second grade classes named Jhong and Siao remaining intact, they were assigned as either experimental group (n=15) or control group (n=16). The experimental group received 20-minute fitness games intervention in each regular physical education class; while the control group did not. All the subjects took fitness tests respectively, before and after the 12-week fitness program. With a factorial mixed-design analysis of variance, the data of the experimental group shows a significant level (p<.05) of difference in fitness academic records between preceding and following the program intervention, in contrast with no such significant level found in the control group, evidenced by a significant level (p<.05) of interaction of groups X repeated measures of pre-test and post-test. This indicates the program intervention improves effectively the learning results of the experimental group. We concluded that 12-weeks fitness games intervention can effectively elevate fitness academic performance records (p<.05), and this serves the purpose of the fitness games intervening in physical education teaching results.
