A FBG Sensing System for Green Environment Monitoring

We demonstrated a fiber sensing system by using a fiber ring resonator cavity formed by two identical fibers Bragg gratings (FBG) to improve the sensing accuracy and distance for environmental monitoring. Measurements of a strain variation in time domain and frequency domain are presented. In addition, a test feature for mechanical vibration has been designed with accuracy of frequency measurement under 1 Hz. In addition, by using fiber channels multiplexing control, it is capable in multi-physical variation monitoring for versatile applications in green environment monitoring.
