The purpose of this study was to discriminate the fear of failure, perceived importance of competition, and age by sport aggressive intention. This study sampled 230 child and adolescent soccer players with mean age of 12.73 (SD=l.22) and administered a Performance Failure Appraisal Inventory (PFAI), a perceived importance of competition questionnaire, and a sport aggressive intention questionnaire. The discriminant analysis revealed that fear of failure, perceived importance of competition, and age could discriminate effectively higher and lower sport aggressive intention subjects, and correctly classified percentage was 74.8. Especially, fear of failure was the best one for discriminating different sport aggressive intention among these variables. The result showed that fear of failure was an important variable in understanding sport aggressive intention.
