With the trend of globalization, many industries in Taiwan have faced the pressure of transformation these years, and many traditional industries have transformed themselves into tourism industries. In particular, the impact of different consumer culture and shortsighted value judgment, some traditional industries are exploring to find their way out. Yun-Lin County Gu-Keng Rural Township that used to be a traditional agricultural area now grows coffee plant and transforms into a tourist attraction; meanwhile it provides tourists a way of entertaining that is in fashion and allows consumers to purchase local products-this is rather typical of ”industry tourism”. This research attempts to cover ways of adjustment in different geographical regions (international, community, and site perspectives) to investigate Gu-Keng develops into industrial tourism under what kind of space-time, phenomenon, and social concepts such as consumer culture, globalization, and localization, and to analyze tourism of Gu-Keng's potential problems and strategies for achieving sustainable development on such principle. At last, this research will construct an empirical model based on how Gu-Keng transforms traditional industries into tourism development.
