Influence of Socioeconomic Status on Cognitive Function from the Perspective of Exercise: A Review

Cognitive function plays a crucial role in many aspects of life. However, several factors can affect cognitive function, and this research topic has received much. Studies have discovered that socioeconomic status may affect cognitive function, especially given that people with low socioeconomic status typically have poorer cognitive function than those with high socioeconomic status. Exercise has been demonstrated to improve cognitive function and may moderate the association between socioeconomic status and cognitive function. This review explores the effects of socioeconomic status on cognitive function from the perspective of exercise by reviewing studies on these effects, the effects of acute and chronic exercise on cognitive function, and the relationship among exercise, socioeconomic status, and cognitive function. Conclusions regarding the results of the review are also posited.
