目的:本研究旨在探討及比較亞洲國家的台灣、日本及中國在女子網球成功的差異。方法:自WTA官網球員排名系統收集2011-2020年女子網球單打排名資料,以女子網球成功項目及WTA球員最高排名為評估指標;以單因子變異數分析比較台灣、日本及中國間在網球成功項目的差異。結果:一、台灣在WTA排名的球員總數顯著少於日本及中國;二、台灣在WTA排名前200的球員數顯著少於日本及中國;三、台灣在前5位WTA的綜合排名顯著低於日本及中國;四、日本及中國的WTA球員最高排名顯著優於台灣。結論:台灣在WTA的球員總數、WTA排名前200的球員數及WTA最高排名方面有成長,但整體的排名表現及網球成功的程度均落後於日本及中國,女子網球成功水準尚待提昇。
Purpose: This study compared the success of tennis players from Taiwan, Japan, and China between 2011-2020. Methods: Data regarding singles rankings were collected from the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking system. A one-way analysis of variance was conducted to compare differences in tennis success indicators related to players from Taiwan, Japan, and China. Results: 1. Significant differences were observed among Taiwan, Japan, and China regarding their total numbers of players with WTA ranking points; specifically, Taiwan had significantly fewer players than did Japan and China. 2. Significant differences were observed among Taiwan, Japan, and China regarding the top 200 WTA rankings; specifically, Taiwan had significantly fewer players ranked within the top 200 than did Japan and China. 3. Significant differences were observed among Taiwan, Japan, and China regarding the combined WTA rankings of each nation' stop five female players; specifically, both Japan and China had a significantly higher ranking than did Taiwan. 4. Significant differences were observed among Taiwan, Japan, and China regarding the WTA rankings of the top players; specifically, both Japan and China had a significantly higher ranking than did Taiwan. Conclusion: In terms of relevant women's tennis success indicators, Taiwan lags behind both Japan and China. This paper recommends increasing the number of events hosted by Taiwan to improve Taiwanese players' rankings and their overall participation levels.
