大學生團隊參與創意實作競賽之參賽動機及競賽成效評估分析

A Study on the Motivtaion and Effects of College Students participating in the Energy Technology Creative Contest

摘要


本研究旨在探討大學生團隊參加能源科技創意實作競賽之參賽動機及其成效,研究者以2011年至2013年間參與決賽的大學生共366名為研究對象,電話訪問成功有具體回應者共174人。研究結果發現學生的參賽動機類型以親和動機為最高,其次為成就動機,而學習動機為最低;有118人(佔67.8%)表示參與競賽對於其未來學習與發展方面具有影響力;對於能源科技的相關報導或討論議題會主動了解或探討者有125人(佔71.8%),為數最多;未來是否會選擇與能源科技相關行業或研究部份,有45位學生表達會選擇「太陽能」主題從事後續之研究或有關行業,佔最多數,然而亦有43位同學表示不會從事能源科技相關研究或工作。本研究結果顯示能源科技創意實作競賽對於參賽學生具有影響力,在推廣能源科技教育上確實具有成效。

The purpose of this study was to investigate college students' motivation and learning outcomes for attending Energy Technology Creative Contest. The researchers conducted 366 students as the research subjects, who participated in the final contests from year 2011 to 2013. A total of 174 students responded successfully by telephone interviews. Major findings of this study suggested that (1) motivation of affiliation was the first priority for the participants to join this competition, the motivation of achievement was the second one and the motivation of learning was the last; (2) most of students 118 students (67.8%) indicated the impacts for their future learning and development after their participation in the contest; (3) 125 students (71.8%), were the majority, reported their interests on the issues of energy technology; (4) 45 students expressed their follow-up research interests on "Solar" theme or related industries. However, there are 43 students indicated they would not engage in energy-related research or work in the future. The results of the study showed the impacts of energy technology creative contest for college student participants. Also, it was a successful approach to promote energy technology education.
