知識論壇融入國小五年級數學面積教學成效之研究

A Study of Implementing Knowledge Forum in Elementary School Mathematics Area-5^(th) Grades

摘要


近年科技進步與資訊快速流通,學生長期接觸3C產品已大幅度影響學生在課室學習的專注度,再者,高年級課程比中年級課程多了更多新觀念且較為複雜,學生容易產生挫折與自我放棄,進而影響其學習成效與信心。研究者採用Knowledge Forum融入國小數學教育課程,以國小五年級「面積」為教學活動單元,期許學生透過在知識論壇的分享與回饋進行對此單元的建構,並能正確判斷圖形的高與面積計算,讓學生在學習數學的方式不再是接受傳統型的講述模式,而是增強學生將面積的概念與理論分享給其他組同學,互相搭載鷹架,讓學生可以在知識論壇中能更快理解面積的概念。本實驗研究採用行動研究法,以新竹縣某國小五年級其中一班25位學生為研究對象來實施教學活動,研究中以實施教學、觀察、訪談、總結性評量及知識論壇分析等方式來蒐集研究對象的學習相關資料。研究結果發現:學生對於「面積」教學活動課程,表現出正向的態度;「面積」教學活動課程適合高年級學生進行小組討論並思索如何分享與回饋他組同學。利用知識論壇系統,學生可以留下討論痕跡並在往後加以修改得出結論。最後,透過分析知識論壇分享與回饋軌跡,可以觀察不同成就的孩子在知識論壇裡做出的互動與成長,讓學生能從此面積單元之經驗推廣到不同單元或其他學習領域,並在學習過程中也能學會關懷及幫助同儕。

In recent years, with scientific and technological progress and the rapid flow of information, students have been strongly addicted to 3C products. This then leads to a greater impact on the level of concentration in classroom learning. What's even worse is that 5th-grade math is more difficult compared to that of 4th grade, because of new concepts. A lot of students feel frustrated and have a difficult time and eventually gave up learning math. To prevent that, the researchers used a knowledge forum for the primary school children of in-course mathematics subjects focusing on 5th graders. The study is designed to let students construct this unit through sharing ideas and providing feedback with each other to correctly determine the height and area calculation of a figure. The study aimed to action research. There were 25 students from Hsinchu County Elementary School in this experiment. Different from the traditional narrative mode, this new method of studying can enhance students' understanding of the area concepts and theories. Moreover, the process of sharing ideas and providing feedback can increase a positive learning attitude among students which helps them understand the concept efficiently. In terms of the teaching activities in this study, the research-worker carried out teaching, interviews, observation, summative evaluation, and analysis of the feedback of the knowledge forum to collect the related data. The findings of the study are summarized as follows: The students showed a positive attitude toward learning to " Mathematics Area " teaching curriculum. "Mathematics Area" teaching activity courses are suitable for high-grade students to share their idea and feedback with classmates. Using the knowledge forum system, students can leave traces of discussions and modify them later to conclude. Finally, based on the findings and feedback in the knowledge forum, it is possible to observe the interaction and growth of children with different achievements in the knowledge forum. Students can extend the experience from area units to different units even other subjects and can learn how to care for and help peers during the learning process.
