In 2010, the Taiwanese government signed a preferential trade agreement with the Chinese government called the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA). This paper explores a number of the factors affecting the support level of Taiwanese companies for ECFA. The results showed that the propensity to support the ECFA is positively related to the level of understanding the content of the ECFA and perceived benefits. Moreover, the propensity to support ECFA is positively related to the main production factors of companies (i.e., capital or labor).
