The purpose of this study is to investigate whether college students exercise strengths and virtues in the cyberspace. This study recruited 411 college students in Taiwan and used the Cyberspace Strengths and Virtues Scale (C-SVS) to investigate the 24 signature strengths exercised on the Internet. The C-SVS showed good reliability and good construct validity, based on the analytical results of confirmatory factor analysis. The average scores of C-SVS were negative-skewed, indicating that college students exhibit high frequency of 24 signature strengths when using the Internet. Among the six virtues, the participants scored highest on ”wisdom” and lowest on ”transcendence”. Besides, among the 24 signature strengths, the three highest scored strengths were ”love of learning”, ”appreciation of beauty and excellence”, and ”curiosity”. Moreover, the three lowest scored strengths were ”leadership”, ”bravery”, and ”sense of purpose”. These results indicated that college students exercise the 24 signature strengths when online and the Internet is a place fostering positive psychology.
