The purposes of this study were to investigate the situations of the elementary students' participation in after-school programs, and to understand children's perspectives toward after-school programs. A survey questionnaire was used for this study. The elementary students were randomly selected from elementary schools in Pingtung areas. The results were that the students' viewpoint on the cognition of after-school program tended to positive and also showed highly program satisfaction. Moreover, differences of children with different background on ‘Level of Cognition of After-School Program' shows that children with middle and higher level of grader highly agree on teacher supports than lower graders. Based on results, suggestions were brought up as references for the educational administers and parents for school programs.
