The present study investigated the effects of kinesio tape on the power performance for taekwondo athletes. Ten high school aged taekwondo athletes were recruited. Power performance (e.g., vertical jump, long jump, consecutive long jump, roundhouse kick, and reverse kick) were assessed before and after quadriceps taping. Results showed that the performance of roundhouse kick and consecutive long jump were significantly improved after the intervention of kinesio tape, demonstrating the positive effects of kinesio tape on power performance for taekwondo athletes.
