Based on 12 historical phonological features, this paper further confirms the view of Nicholas Bodman (1982) that the Lóngdū dialect belongs to the Eastern Min group of Min. Among the Eastern Min group, it belongs to the northern subgroup, especially bearing a closer relationship with dialects in the Fu'an area. In the Lóngdū dialect, we can find some archaic phonological features that have been lost in most of the northern subgroup. In the future, it is necessary to investigate the Lóngdū dialect in more depth and continue to explore these archaic features in order to enrich the phonological history of the Eastern Min group.
