大學生健康知能與健康行為之研究

An Investigation of the College Students' Health Literacy and Health Behavior

摘要


健康知能是指個人閱讀、理解與使用獲得健康資訊的能力,當民眾健康知能偏低時,必然會增高醫療保健系統的額外支出,因此,提升民眾健康知能才能確保民眾維持較佳健康狀態,降低醫療使用率,進一步提升醫療照護品質、減少醫療不對等情形。因此本研究主旨在發展適合使用的中文化健康知能評估工具,並以此為基礎進行大學生健康知能與健康行為的相關性研究。研究結果顯示,大學生雖然知道自己有慢性疾病,但是在與自己相關健康知能上並沒有積極涉略。在健康知能與健康行為方面,高健康行為者在用藥須知的知識上明顯高於低健康行為者,顯示健康行為較佳者其正確用藥觀念愈正確。整體而言,大學生並未建立良好的健康行為,即使大學生從各式管道獲得健康知能,但卻不代表同學就會因此具有較佳的健康行為。

Health literacy is defined as abilities of individuals to read, understand and use health information. When health literacy is insufficient, it would increase the cost of the social medical system. Therefore, promoting health literacy could ensure people to keep the better health status, decrease the medical usage, enhance the medical quality and reduce the knowledge gap between medical staff and populace. The goal of this study is to develop a Chinese health literacy scale and to investigate the relationship between health literacy and health behavior for college students. This study reveals that the college students do not care about health literacy, even they have chronic illnesses. Higher level of health behaviors could have more knowledge on medication and the right concept of drug usage than lower level of health behaviors. Overall, college students don't have good health behaviors and it should be noticed and improved by authorities.
