This paper attempts to discuss the analysis of risk factors, risk planning measures, risk monitoring measures, and suicide prevention strategies for elderly people in long-term care facilities from the perspective of risk management. After the discussion, it was found that the suicide risk factors of elderly people in long-term care facilities are not only from the microsystem changes such as physiological factors, psychological factors, and family factors, but also may be related to the change of environment from family to hospice care center. In order to reduce the incidence of suicidal behavior, this paper suggests establishing a task force for suicide prevention and control in long-term care facilities, improving the support factor of staff, and taking into account the effectiveness of implementation and time cost, as well as establishing a suicide prevention and control strategy with a three-level prevention perspective as a suicide prevention and control risk planning measure.
