In this paper, questionnaires were adopted to investigate whether graduates of the university of science and technology applied their professional knowledge learnt from university to the career. The survey items included: "The expectation and actuality of career choice", "The impact of selected relevant courses", "The impact of the license or internship on future career choice", "The plan and preparation for future employment" and "The factors affecting career choice". The survey results show that: before graduation, graduates will participate the internship courses and employment exposition arranged at the university. They also obtain the relevant licenses to meet the employment requirements as the university required. The proportion of the graduates who can apply their profession to the career is 47%, and 53% cannot. We know that it is not easy to find a suitable job to apply their profession just after graduation. Continuous follow-up surveys are required to check whether the profession taught at the university of science and technology meets the needs of the job market.
