Online Classroom Motivational Techniques: Student Perspectives

線上教學鼓勵學習法:學生觀點

摘要


With forced changes in education delivery around the world in face of health challenges such as Covid-19, classes have moved to online and distant learning formats. This widespread change in methodology forces advancement and recognition of online teaching and learning as not just a support or convenience but as necessary and at some states primary in nature. The paper utilizes a survey of college-level students in Southern Taiwan using online classrooms as supplemental learning aids prior to the Covid-19 outbreak. The survey attempts to determine their perspectives concerning the impact of this technology use on their academic learning. Both positive and negative impacts or concerns are reported though the majority of the participants indicated that the technology was not only helpful to them but was a necessary step in the educational journey of students for the future.

由於面臨新型冠狀肺炎病毒(COVID-19)等公衛方面的挑戰,全球各地的教學活動被迫改為線上和遠距形式授課。這種教學法上的重大變遷,使得線上教學與學習方面的發展與認知,不再僅限於提供輔助或便利學習,而成為必要甚至主要的教學與學習方式。本文以南台灣大專院校程度的學生為對象,調查其於COVID-19疫情爆發前接受線上教學做為輔助學習工具的情形。學生對於將此種科技運用在學術學習上的看法,亦是調查中試圖探究的目標。調查結果同時反映出正反兩面的影響或擔憂,然而其中大多數受訪學生表示,此種科技不僅對其有所幫助,也是日後學生的求學過程中的必經之路。
