網際網路輔助大學工業設計系學生生涯輔導架構初探

A Preliminary Structure of Internet-aided Career Guidance Model for University ID Students

摘要


工業設計在台灣發展的時間不到四十年的歷史,因而其專業性的確立仍未成熟。高中畢業生進入工設系就讀前,對工業設計行業的認識有限,更別說未來把它當成一項生涯。大學工設系透過如聯招分發、推薦甄試、申請入學及高工職保送等多量管道,招收普通高中及高工職的學生。學生來自不同管道及背景,必然對生涯輔導會有不同的需求。然而,今日大部分的大學生主要藉由課程、課外活動、及工讀機會,去探索符合本身能力、興趣、與價值觀的職業。然而有效的生涯輔導方案隨著網路科技的發展,輔導的策略與型態也必須隨之改變。為了回應年輕世代對網路的熱衷,許多學校已經建立具有親和性的線上輔導系統,部分取代或延伸面對面輔導的功能。一套好的生涯輔導系統,不應只靠輔導人員及導師制度被動地提供生涯諮商的服務,也應包含設計教師的積極參與,把生涯教育的理念整合在專業課程中,以協助學生善用網路解決他們在生涯相關的問題。根據以上的理念,本文提出以網路輔助工業設計生涯輔導架構的初探。本研究成果不僅對專業學門的生涯教育理論架構的探討深具意義,對於大學工業設計科系學生在生涯輔導實務上也貢獻良多。

With a history of less than 40 years, the Industrial Design profession in Taiwan is still far from maturation. Few high school graduates before entering ID departments know anything about ID, let alone its prospect as a career. Departments of ID in universities recruit students through several channels, such as entry examinations, recommendations, and selections from both general and vocational high schools. Students come from different channels and different backgrounds would certainly differ in needs for career guidance. However, most university students nowadays mainly depend on courses, extra-curriculum activities, and part-time jobs to explore a vocation that matches their abilities, interests, and values. However effective a career guidance program is, following the development of Internet technology, the guidance strategy and pattern must also upgrade accordingly. Responding to the Internet-thirsty of the youth generation, many schools have set up friendly on-line guidance systems, partly to replace or extend the functions of face-to-face guiding. A good career guidance system should not only depend on the counseling personnel and the tutor system to reactively provide career counseling services, but also include design faculty to proactively participate, to integrate the career guidance concept into the professional courses and to help students utilize the Internet to solve their career-related problems. Based on the above concept, this paper reports a preliminary structure of an Internet-aided ID career guidance model. The outcome of this study not only is meaningful to inquiry for the theoretical framework in career education of the professional disciplines, but also is useful to career guidance practice for university ID students.
