從流行文化思考在地性文化形塑之初探

The Initial Study on Geographical Cultures Implications through Introspecting on Popular Cultures

摘要


流行商品、文化是一個國家除了以武力外,征服其它國家的另一項重要利器。台灣不論是在戲劇、娛樂等領域,面對著從外而來的流行文化、商品,總是能輕易的被席捲而顯得毫無招架之力,例如凱蒂貓(Hello Kitty)、日本偶像劇以及韓劇等流行風潮。相形之下,以台灣「在地性」的文化做為發展則顯得困難許多。本研究在此動機下,嘗試從流行文化議題切入,藉由文獻閱讀、分析,提出個人論述。研究進行透過兩則個案研究的探討、分析,解讀個案在流行文化的操作表現,最後提出結論與建議,供給欲以「在地文化」為主題的發展做參考。

Except for its military strength, a nation has taken popular products and cultures as another useful path to overcome other countries. Not only in domains of dramas or entertainment, Taiwan also has faced competitions in popular cultures and products from other countries with hardly any tiny bit of resistance, such as Hello Kitty, Japanese Idol Dramas and Korean Dramas. Compared to acceptance of alien cultures, Taiwanese ”local” cultures have went into difficult path in development. The study, therefore, would like to have direct discussion on issues of popular cultures, through documentary reading and analysis, then submit personal thesis. With discussion and analysis, as well as interpreting actual performances on popular cultures, on two individual cases, this study has made its conclusion and suggestion, and will be used as reference for those who are engaged in exploring ”local cultures”.
