摘要

本研究目的是以靈性懷舊探索老年人生命意義的經驗，採描述現象學進行探討，以立意取樣選取台中市社區十二位老年人為研究對象。研究者先向受訪者說明研究目的經受訪者瞭解並簽署同意書後，依據半結構訪談大綱進行深度訪談收集資料，再以Giorgi的現象學分析法進行資料分析。經由個案敘述生活經驗脈絡中，歸納出五大範疇的生命意義：一、努力活出獨特自己；二、人際和諧是生命中最珍貴的禮物；三、享受與大自然共舞；四、虔誠與至高造物主聯結；五、尋求終極的生命意義。同時發現信仰融入老年人的生命經驗，對老年人靈性不同面向的生命意義。研究結果有助於照護者瞭解老年人心靈層面的需求、生命經驗的描述、信仰帶來的力量並增加敏銳的覺察能力，以提升老年人靈性照謢之品質。建議：了解老年人的靈性需求與生命意義之個別差異性；重視宗教信仰對老年人的靈性照護之重要療效；期盼照護者充實靈性懷舊之相關智能；反思個人靈性修為，增加對老人靈性需求的敏銳度。

The purpose of this study is to understand how the elderly meaning of life by using spiritual reminiscence method which will interview elderly who are live in the communities of Taichung city. To start with, I contacted these elderly groups and established a trustworthy relationship with them. After the agreement was made and the consent form was filled out, an interview in depth was conducted according to the interview outline. Twelve were enrolled totally. Giorgi (2009) phenomenon analysis method was used to analyze the data. Studying the content of their life experience, five main categories were summarized: First, be yourself, not somebody else; second, be in harmony with others; thirdly, enjoy the nature; fourthly, connect with the Creator closely; fifthly, find the ultimate meaning of life. When the religion integrates into the elderly life, it demonstrates many different aspects of spirituality concerning the meaning of life. The result of this study will help health care workers better understand the need of spiritual guidance, the religious living experience, and the strength through religion for the elderly. My suggestions are: First, health care workers should understand the individual spiritual needs of the elderly. Second, An emphasis of religious belief is an important therapeutic care for the elderly. Thirdly, health care workers should enhance their knowledge in spiritual reminiscence. Finally , a constant reflection of spirituality by health care workers will increase the sensitivity of spiritual needs for the elderly.
