Green Nanotechnology: Fabrication of Precious Metal Nanoparticles

摘要


本研究之主旨在於結合近年來重要之奈米技術以及貴重金屬資源再生技術二者,創造金屬奈米材料之整合性綠色製程。以筆者在貴金屬回收再利用領域的經驗,配合近年來之奈米技術,由報廢之電子零組件中,經由傳統提煉與分離程序,結合以奈米合成中之化學還原法,製備懸浮性分散之金屬奈米粒子。我們以製備懸浮性奈米銀系統作為初步目標,配合以穿透式電子顯微鏡之影像與元素分析,及紫外可見吸收光譜之檢測,證實直徑介於5~20 nm的奈米銀粒子可以很成功地大量合成。證實此一綠色奈米整合性製程技術是可行的,同時將是未來奈米產業之趨勢。

The main theme of this research is to demonstrate the feasibility of combining the nanotechnology and precious metal refining industry. This integration is of great importance in both technological and environmental concern. The chemical reduction method for the synthesis of precious metal nanoparticles shows a promise technique in conjunction with the refining line. Nano-silver was chosen for this demonstration. The Ag(NH3)2^+ solution directly produced from the silver refining procedure was transferred into the system for the nanosynthesis. The silver nanoparticles suspension can then be prepared readily. Several material characterizations were conducted, including the determination of the particle size distribution of ca. 5~20 nm in diameters. The results provide definitive evidence on the successfulness of the technological integration. The green nanotechnology is believed to be the future trend of the nano-industry.
