2000年歐洲盃足球賽中攻、防戰術之分析

A Study of Football Defensive and Offensive Strategies Staged in the European Cup Tournament of Year 2000

摘要

The objective of this study was to look at those games played by the eight finalist teams in this year's European Cup Football (or Soccer) Tournament and find out what was the major trend or the specificity of the offence and defense displayed in those big final matches. The method we used was that during the TV coverage or relay broadcasts on the NHK in Japan and the local CTS channels, we had all the games recorded on videotape with a VTR machine. We took the tapes to the football research lab at Taiwan College of Physical Education, played them back on their VTC equipment, and re-edited them into sections of individual defensive or offensive plays in slow motion. By this way we could repeatedly watch those plays in great details that actually happened at the tournament and make the assessments. Here are our findings:1. Among those eight finalist teams, the odds that they used the four-back system were 71 %, while the rest 29% of the time they took the three-back formation. So we can say the former formation was the current defensive fad for this year's tournament.2.When a team made an attack from a defensive situation, fast breakaway attacks were more likely to succeed (4 1.9%) than other regular type of offensive plays (29 .3%). Besides, the success rate based on area where they started the quick breakaway action was offensive area> midfield > defensive area. And among the tactics used by them in those fast attacks starting from various areas of the field, they took long passes in the defensive area or back field, but fast sudden breakthroughs by individual player's effort happened more frequently in the midfield and the offensive area or the front field. The preference of the spots they chose to make the breakaway was also different. In the defensive area and the midfield, they would most likely start the attack at wing positions, but mainly took the so-called down the middle trust in the offensive area.3.Interceptions or clog plays in general happened more often in wing positions. However, it is predominately true in the offensive area and in less degree in the midfield, but not in the defensive area where middle way intercepts were more preferred. As to the outflank interceptions, the preference order was offensive area> midfield > defensive area. And the principal area for interception plays was in the wings.
