The aim of the studies was to evaluate the degrees of satisfaction of junior high school students in Taipei County with respect to physical education classes, and to explore the associated discrepancies in terms of different schools, graders, and gender. It was conducted with ”Junior High School Student Questionnaire on Degrees of Satisfaction with Physical Education Classes”, designed specifically as a research instrument, among the students in five junior high schools located in separate districts of Taipei County on March 13-22, 2002, including total 817 effective samples. The study used various statistical analyses including the descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA and a posteriori comparisons of the Scheffe' method and will provide some related suggestions based upon the results. A. The total degree of satisfaction with P.E. learning of junior high school students in Taipei County is 3.67. The highest degree is ”Peer relationship”; the lowest degree is ”Facility and place” B. Three factors of male is much higher than female (p < .05); these three factors are ”The effect of learning”, ”scoring assessment” and ”Peer relationship”. C. There is no obvious difference between ”Teacher's teaching”, ”The effect of learning”, and ”Facility and place” among different school with different numbers of classes. But there is obvious difference between ”scoring assessment” and ”Peer relationship”. That means, it doesn't make any difference about the quality of PE teaching and distribution of resources in big schools or in small schools; but it really makes differences about scoring assessment” in different schools. D. There is no obvious difference between different graders. (p > .05). Therefore, according to the result of this study, we provide relative suggestions.
