我國大專院校體育行政現況之調查研究

Research into Current Condition of the Physical Education Administrative in Colleges and Universities Departments

摘要


為瞭解我國各大專院校體育行政組織變革後之現況,研究者以我國大學、學院及專科學校(不包含體育及軍、警事學校)為研究對象,郵寄附回郵之「大專院校體育行政組織暨非體育科系課程教學實施調查問卷」予各校之體育室(組)主任(組長)共150封,回收共122封,有效樣本118封。研究結果與「新大學法公布施行後我國大學院校體育行政組織及課程實施之研究」(1997)及「中華民國體育統計」(2000)比較後發現,大專院校體育室為學校一級行政組織學校數雖增加,但依大學法實施之學校數仍不足一半。各類型學校學生與體育教師人數比有很大差異。各校的體育教師學歷碩、博士所占比率大幅增加,且超過半數。體育選項前十名項目除體適能班、有氧舞蹈班擠進外,其餘大致相同。籌劃設立體育相關系院所的學校有25所之多,其中又以休閒運動備受歡迎。研究者認為滿足體育人的求知慾,體育相關的碩、博士班應再增加。體育人應加強學術研究,提升體育的價值和對全民健康的作用,以取得決策者的認同,提升體育行政組織的定位。體育課程教學漸朝向健康、休閒方面發展,融入生活之中,這也是體育的最終目的,其往後發展實值得追蹤,也期待健康體適能的觀念可以很快傳播全體國民。

To learn about current conditions, after changes to physical education administrative organizations in colleges and universities and the teaching of the curricula, we focused on universities, colleges, and junior colleges, but did not include schools which specialize in physical, military, or police education. We mailed one hundred and fifty questionnaires, with stamped reply envelopes, to the head of every physical education administrative organization. The survey contained questions relating to our research topic. One hundred and twenty-two questionnaires were returned, and one hundred and eighteen of them were effective samples. We compared the data from our survey with ”Research into the Physical Education Administrative Organizations in Colleges and Universities and Implementation of the Curricula after Enforcement of University Law” (1997) and ”statistics of Physical Education” (2000) This showed that the number of ”first-level” physical education administrative organizations in colleges and universities has increased; however, the number of schools complying with University Law is still less than half. The ratio of students to Physical Education teachers is very different in every school. But the percentage of physical education teachers who have Masters or Ph.D.s has greatly increased; amore than half of physical education teachers now have Master or Ph.D.s. Among the ten most popular physical courses are two new courses: ”Fitness” and ”Aerobic Dance”, most of the other popular courses remain unchanged. There are twenty-five schools that plan to establish physical education departments. These new departments will focus on the ever popular ”leisure activities” courses. We conclude there should be more Masters and Ph.D. course related to physical education, on order to satisfy the learning aspirations of people interested in physical education. Such people should be encouraged to improve their academic education and to upgrade the value of physical education and its effect on health. In this way, they would earn the approval of policy makers, and finally improve the status of the physical education administrative organizations. The final goal of physical education is to develop quality health and leisure curricula. It is worth doing more research to develop this, and we look forward to spreading the idea of health and fitness to all people.
