The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of moderate-intensity aerobic dance training on plasma Iipid status and physical fitness. Twenty-nine female university students were served as experimental subjects. They were trained for twelve weeks of moderate-intensity aerobic dance training, and every week trained three days, per day lasted sixty minutes. The intensity of dance training was between 55%-85% heart rat maximum. After experimental period the fasting venous blood was collected to measure the blood lipid status and test physical fitness. The results showed that: After experimental period, there were significant differences on plasma total cholesterol, LDL-C and LDL-C/HDL-C. There were significantly decreased in BMI and body composition, ”and there were significant improve in sit and reach, one minute sit-ups, and three minutes step testing. The results suggest that moderate-intensity aerobic dance training can improve blood Iipid status and physical fitness.
