The primary purpose of this research was to understand the relationship between exercise habits, perceived health status and the sense of well-being among college students. The researchers also try to investigate how gender differences affect the relationship between exercise habits, perceived health and the feeling of well-being. Convenient sampling method is adopted to survey among college freshmen from National United University. The effective respondents collected are 486. Data are processed by descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, chi-square, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe's test comparison afterwards and Pearson product-moment correlation Analysis. The results are found as followings: 1. Only 13% male and 1.8% female students exercise regularly, at least 3 times a week, and 50% of the subjects considered themselves as having ”average” health condition or normal. 2. There are significant differences among students of different gender in terms of exercise habits, perceived health status and the feeling of well-being. Male students score higher than female students. 3. There are significant and positive correlations among exercise habits, perceived health status and the feeling of well-being. Regular exercisers tend to have higher scores in the feeling of well-being. 4. There is a positive correlation between exercise habits and perceived health status. 5. Exercise habits and perceived health status positively correlate with life satisfaction and positive affection, and vice versa. Perceived health status is positively correlated with the feeling of well-being as well.
