自覺工作疲勞評估工具中文版翻譯效度驗證研究

Validation of a Chinese Translation for Assessment of Subjective Fatigue

Objectives: To examine the validation of a Chinese translation of the assessment tool for subjective fatigue symptoms (ATSFS). Methods: First of all, six bilingual professional translators independently carried out translation and backward translation between Japanese and Chinese three times, meeting twice for group discussions on this. Next, six medical professionals were invited to evaluate the validity of the translation. Finally, 60 nurses from a medical center of southern Taiwan were recruited to assess the face validity and response reliability of the Chinese version of ATSFS (2002 version). Results: The validity indexes of the translations of S-CVI/Ave and I-CVI were .89 and .5~1.0, respectively. There were five items in the I-CVI with a validity of less than .78, and these were then revised after discussions with the translators. Regarding face validity and response reliability, the results show that the semantic identification scores for all items were between 3 (clear) and 4 (very clear), while the internal consistency (Cronbach's α) was in the range of .81~.92. Conclusions: A serious process was used to produce a Chinese version of the ATSFS, and its validity were then assessed, with the results showing that the instrument was semantically correct and culturally appropriate. The Chinese version of the ATSFS (2002 version) produced in this work can thus be used to assess the fatigue of Taiwanese workers, and so improve working conditions and the quality of work-related outcomes.
