本研究從西元1987年至1991年在台中區農業改良場進行,為育成秈稻抗多種病害蟲及優良米質之品種。結果顯示台秈糯育14、1155、1162號及台秈育368、1577號等五個品系可抗稻熱病、白葉枯病、縞葉枯病、褐飛蝨及白背飛蝨等多種病害蟲。其中台秈糯育14、1155、1162號之產量超過台中秈糯1號0.5~13.8%,屬於直鏈性澱粉較低之糯稻,且具低膠化溫度、軟凝膠展延性及米質優良。而台秈育368、1577號之產量超過台中秈10號3.9~5.8%,則屬於低直鏈性澱粉、低膠化溫度、軟凝膠展延性、碾米性高及食味品質優良之秈型稻。本試驗結果顯示水稻抗病抗蟲性可與稻米品質、產量及其他優良農藝性狀結合並存。
Present study was conducted at Taichung District Agricultural Improvement Station from 1987 to 1991, aiming to breed indica rice varieties with resistance to rice pests and good rice quality. Results indicated that five lines of Tai Sen (Waxy) 14, 1155, 1162 and Tai Sen 368, 1577 showed resistance to blast, bacterial blight, rice stripe disease, brown planthopper and white back plant hopper. The yield of Tai Sen (Waxy) 14, 1155, 1162 were 0.5-13.8% higher than that of check variety, Taichung Sen (Waxy) 1. Those lines possessed low amylose waxy rice, low gelatinization temperature, soft gel consistency and good rice quality. The yield of Tai Sen 368, 1577 were 3.9-5.8 % higher than that of check variety Taichung Sen 10. Those lines had a good percentage of head rice, low amylose, low gelatinization temperature, soft gel consistency, high milled quality and good eating rice quality. The characters of pests resistance of rice plants can be combined and coexisted with the characters of rice quality, grain yield and other agronomic characters.
